I have CS4 running on Windows 7 64 bit. On start-up I get the error:
Acrodist.exe
The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000005). Click OK to close the application.
When I attempt to run Premiere Pro or Soundbooth I get the errors:
Error
LoadLibrary failed with error 998: Invalid access to memory location
Adobe Premiere Pro Startup Error
Adobe Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules. Please update your video display drivers and start again.
I have attempted the following fixes:
- Uninstalled (with remove preferences) and reinstalled all Adobe products
- Updated my video drivers
- Uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media Player
- This problem has been ongoing for weeks, so I do not have a usable restore point
- Performed a whole system antivirus scan with AVG
I have been trying to resolve the issue for the past three days. I am extremely frustrated because I have a client project due and cannot work on it because of these issues.
I appreciate any assistance that may be available.
